Philippines- SuperFerry 9, owned by Aboitiz Transport System, sank early Sunday on September 6, 2009 in Zamboanga Peninsula leaving 9 passengers dead.
If I have not mistaken, it was just a year ago when a ship from Sulpicio lines (MV something also sank). Seeing families grieve on tv knowing that one that one of their loved ones is dead is very heart-breaking. This is really sad, I must say. A rumor has spread that overload was the reason behind the tragic accident though it was still not proven to be true. From this disaster, I realized that one must live each day as if it’s his/her last. Taking into account that the weather that time, according to weather reports is fine but still, this catastrophe still happened. We could never really tell if today would be our last or not.
My deepest sympathy to all those who lost one of their family members and may the souls rest in peace.
